This workshop will begin with a brief introduction to Ayurveda, “the Science of Life,” a holistic Indian system of health. We will explore the doshas, and examine how, when, and what to eat according to your own dosha. Then, we will take it a step further to learn about our digestive fire, how to prevent and remove toxic buildup in the body, and Ayurvedic remedies to maintain a healthy mind, body and spirit.
Additionally, we will go through different cleansing/detox techniques that are recommended by Ayurveda, which types might be best for you and when to do them. We’ll finish the workshop with Ayurvedic home remedies and how to heal common illnesses naturally with the correct herbs, oils and spices.
Wanderlust at heart, Lauren was born and raised in the United States. She has been studying, volunteering and teaching for the past 5 years across Europe, North & Central America, and Asia. Lauren is a 500-hour registered Yoga Alliance instructor & Ayurvedic Practitioner. She studied and practiced Ayurvedic Medicine, Therapies and Massage under Doctor Sreejith Kumar in Kerala, India.
