Life balance, harmony, beauty, vitality, aqua, nature and nutrition are the Seven Pillars of well-being that are the inspiration for the beautifully renovated and recently reopened Lagoon Spa at the Laguna Resort in Nusa Dua.
Everything from the lighting, internal decoration and colour schemes have been carefully paired so that these Seven Pillars will envelope guests the moment they descend the graceful spiral stair case and enter this environment of calm equilibrium.
The essentials of health, beauty and inner peace are derived from the four basic elements governing the human body – water, air, fire and earth and the professional spa team have worked hard to instill these important elements throughout the spa. The water theme takes its rightful place in the center of the spa experience, ensuring a truly five star spa journey that aims to revitalize energy levels by day and cause blissful calm at night.
The many holistic treatments at Lagoon Spa are crafted to soothe the soul and energize the spirit. There are many treatments that support outer beauty too.
Located in the middle of the iconic resort and surrounded by the crystal clear waters of the vast swimming lagoon, the Lagoon Spa can be accessed from the lobby level across from Cornerstone, the Deli and Vinothek. Guests can also enter the spa from the ground floor underneath the waterfalls. Lagoon Spa has eight treatment rooms, which includes one that is designed for traditional Chinese treatments.
Taking a holistic approach, the space has an impressive menu of traditional treatments through to interesting new approaches. The luxurious chocolate treatment is a must for the true devotee of the magic bean. Packed with anti-oxidants this choco experience starts with warm chocolate oil massage followed by rich chocolate cream scrub that contains soft peeling buds that act as a gentle exfoliant on the skin. A warm chocolate body wrap indulgence completes this intoxicating therapy.
A somewhat more traditional, but no less delightful, treatment is the Lagoon Signature Massage. This a combination of massage styles from around the world touches Chinese pressure points to improve the metabolic system and boost the body’s immune system.
This experience finishes with a Swedish massage and an Indian head massage encouraging the relaxation of body and mind and it goes for a very relaxing 90 minutes. Other items on the menu include classic Shiatsu massage, Thai Massage, a Reiki and Ayurvedic Shirodara therapy. One very welcome inclusion is the super romantic Moonlight massage, which is an indulgent combination of massage, moonlight, cocktails, fresh fruit and chocolate. There is also a three-day cleansing programme that utilises yoga, meditation and Balinese Taichi.
