While Canggu is known for its trendy beach clubs, bustling streets and best parties, the food scene offers an equally diverse world-class dining scene. Bali restaurants just get better and better.
With new venues opening almost monthly, it’s easy to get lost in the endless options.
For you, we’ve done the hard work and curated a list of the hottest new spots that come from our personal experiences as a seasoned local.
1. Ina Ré
Tucked away in the vibrant Desa Kitsuné, Canggu, is a contemporary lifestyle destination complete with a Parisian cafe, a music hub featuring headline DJ’s and a restaurant that adds a new sparkle to this trendy neighbourhood.
Ina Ré is a new dining destination that sparkles with the vibrancy of Latin Street Food and Mediterranean-inspired cuisine.
Under the expert guidance of Chef Cristian Encina, Ina Ré’s menu has been beautifully crafted as a culinary journey, a delightful fusion of this talented chef’s creativity and passion.
From the perfectly seasoned ceviche to the tender, melt-in-your-mouth wagyu, each dish is a culinary masterpiece. The restaurant’s commitment to using fresh, high-quality ingredients is evident in every bite.
The serene courtyard is a stylish brunch spot during the day, and as the sun sets, it transforms into a magical space, illuminated by soft lighting and adorned with twinkling lanterns.

2. Ghost
Born from pure passion and creativity, Ghost is the new, trendy space open on Berawa’s Eat Street. It’s a charming bistro with a love for European food, intimate conversations, and quality company. Helmed by Kiwi Chef Time Staplefoth and his partner Jodi Langford, Ghost centres around a wood-fired grill and a vinyl-spinning record bar. All the goodies with no fluff.
The inviting interiors feature leather booths, an upstairs verandah furnished with sofas and dining tables and an open kitchen as the centrepiece. The menu is incredibly appealing and affordable enough to encourage repeat visits. From a range of starters, small plates and large, sharing is encouraged and you will want to. From small plates that include local charcuterie and the moreish sourdough waffles topped with smoked salmon and dill cream, to giant Papuan prawn burnished to perfection to a crowd-pleasing jerk pork chop with smoked pineapple, the dishes are infused with flavour, you can feel the love!
The bar and DJ booth is where you can gather with friends while listening to R&B tunes by the Ghost’s rotating roster of turntable jockies. Endearing and constantly evolving, Ghost is elevated, fun and a great addition to what is fast becoming Berawa’s Eat Street.
3. Vore restaurant and Bar.
Canggu, celebrated for its thriving culinary scene, has welcomed yet another exciting new eatery: Vore. The name, a clever nod to “carnivore,” is an upscale Italian restaurant with a glamorous bar that takes its love for meat to the next level. With sophisticated interiors and an impressive live grill, Vore offers a dining experience that captivates with every bite.
A standout recommendation from their menu is the Foie Gras Filet Mignon, alongside the perfectly dry-aged duck breast, aged for 12 days to enhance its rich flavours. After just one delightful dinner here, we can confidently say this won’t be our last visit — and it should definitely be your first! Whether you’re stopping by for lunch or dinner, Vore promises to impress meat lovers and food enthusiasts alike with its exceptional offerings.
4. Longtime
Berawa’s Longtime is the latest culinary endeavour by Australian hospitality pioneers Jordie Strybos and Pablo Fourcard and industry veteran Randa Assi—the creative team behind the much-loved Bali cafe, Milk and Madu.
At Longtime, the light-filled Asian bistro in Berawa, they’re partnering with Chef Tyler Preston. Best known for South-East Canteen pop-ups and renowned eateries like Chin Chin Melbourne and Bang Bang Byron Bay, this menu dips and dives between Asian cultures with a healthy dose of comfort food in the mix.
Chef Tyler includes modern Chinese cuisine among his inspirations, with master stocks, rendang-filled spring rolls, prawn toast and a brilliant crispy pork belly with tamarind caramel and pineapple, featuring along with Thai and Japanese flavours.
One of the highlights on the menu is the Curious Burrata, a whole ball of locally crafted burrata nestled in Longtime’s signature chilli crunch, accompanied by house-made roti.
Burrata is traditionally a staple in European dishes, here the chef adds his signature Asian flair. “A spicy pepperoni pizza with burrata is one of my favourite dishes, and this is my Longtime version: spicy, cheesy, with the texture of roti,” Tyler shared.
Open for lunch and dinner daily Longtime offers a menu of signature cocktails and a soundtrack to keep you at the bar until the small hours.
5. Bokashi
Bokashi Pererenan takes the locals to the next level.
Bokashi first opened in Canggu’s Berawa as a natural grocer and cafe. With a new larger location and the creative genius of Chef Jethro Vincent, the Pererenan outpost adds a dinner menu and a robata grill that takes classic dishes to new levels – the sweet and sour pork belly skewer is one of the best things we’ve eaten lately.
The interiors are rustic and refined; the antique wooden building glows with antique lamps and rugs and offers a terrace at the front and an internal garden. The natural grocer at the front and the subterranean wine cellar signal their culinary cred.
Standing out in this gourmet precinct is no small undertaking with some of the island’s best chefs staking a claim in Pererenan, Canggu’s trendy neighbour, and they’re all friends! From Ben Cross’ cool Bar Vera to Stephen Moore’s, Shelter, a neighbourhood favourite, there are some incredible restaurants in this cool precinct. Chef Jethro is not one to swim with the stream and here at Bokashi, this former fine dining chef really lets loose – all the better for us.
6. Bricklane
In the vibrant Batubolong neighbourhood, Bricklane is a chic new addition that’s quickly becoming a local favourite. With its modern industrial aesthetic and warm hospitality, it’s a space where you can savour delicious food, lounge while you listen to live music and embrace the lively atmosphere.
The menu at Bricklane is a global adventure, offering a delightful fusion of Australian, Mediterranean, and Italian cuisines. We’re talking zesty, hearty and lavish tastes of the West. This means hand-rolled pasta, wood-fired pizzas and fresh seafood dishes. As enthusiastic foodies themselves, they’re putting all the best in the menu to satisfy discerning drinkers and diners. Anywhere that offers a succulent roast chicken with deeply delicious gracy is a winner in our book!
More than just food, It’s also a stylish bar where you can unwind and enjoy a handcrafted tipple or two. Their mixologists are visionaries, with a menu that’s both innovative, delicious, and unique. Their Crown Negroni, for example, is a blend of chocolate and parmesan cheese, which might make you gasp right now, but an open mind is tasty and so are their cocktails.
