Our Fly Bali helicopter tour began with excitement as we stepped onto the helipad, ready to experience Bali from a completely new perspective. Fly Bali is a pioneer in offering this exhilarating adventure, and we were particularly impressed to learn they operate more than five helicopters, making them the most equipped company on the island.

As the blades spun to life, we could feel the thrill mounting. The tour promised a 12-minute journey over Bali’s most iconic sights, and soon, we were soaring above the breathtaking coastline of the southern peninsula. From Jimbaran to Uluwatu, the shimmering beaches, cliff-top villas, and endless ocean stretched beneath us. The aerial view gave us a sense of Bali’s vast beauty—one that is hard to grasp fully from the ground.

One of the most striking sights was the Garuda Wisnu Kencana statue. From the air, its sheer size and grandeur were even more awe-inspiring. The 121-meter-tall statue, a cultural masterpiece, stood proudly against the backdrop of the island. We circled around it, taking in its intricate details, which seem to come to life when seen from above.

Our journey didn’t stop there. The pilot, an experienced guide, made sure we learned about each location we passed. His calm voice came through our headsets, providing information about the landmarks, history, and local significance of the places we were flying over. His knowledge enhanced the entire experience, turning what could have been a mere sightseeing flight into a journey of discovery.

Flying over Uluwatu, we gazed at the famous clifftop temple, perched on a dramatic rock formation that plunges into the Indian Ocean. Below, the turquoise waters swirled against the cliffs, and in the distance, we spotted surfers catching waves at some of Bali’s world-renowned breaks. Moving along the coastline, we passed Ungasan, its luxurious resorts clinging to the cliffs, and finally, Melasti Beach, where the white sands shimmered in the afternoon sun.
