bali Spirit Festival 2024 Awaits!

From humble beginnings in 2008, Bali Spirit Festival has grown into one of the biggest wellness festivals in Asia, a holistic extravaganza, drawing presenters, performers and participants from around the world. This year’s event takes place May 1-5 in the lush grounds of Yoga Barn and adjoining Puri Padi Hotel in Ubud.

Yoga, Dance, Meditation and World Music plays to a global Audience.

A multi faceted festival, Bali Spirit brings the spirt of yoga, dance, meditation and world music to Bali, while simultaneously showcasing the culture music and spirituality of Bali with a global audience. The festival draws esteemed artists, teachers and facilitators from far and wide, offering participants the chance to dabble in an extraordinary array of modalities all in one place. From kundalini yoga to break dancing, sound healing to shamanic breath work, Cuban salsa to yin yoga, water dance to Qi gong. And you can forget any preconceived notions you may have that a yoga, dance and movement festival has to be a serious and studious affair. This is wellness with a contemporary twist, a transformative journey filled with joy, laughter and some seriously cool music. More than just a gathering, it’s a celebration of life and a chance to be part of a global community.

A World of Great Music.

Music is a highlight of the festival, with both renowned artists and emerging talents taking centre stage. As always, Music Director and Co Founder of Bali Spirit Festival, Robert Weber, has curated a truly extraordinary line up of spiritually-inspired world musicians that transcend boundaries. Expect everything from soul-songs to electrifying beats, ska, percussion, hiphop, jazz, funk, tribal Afro-house and folk music. As well as nightly performances on Grove Main stage, you can enjoy live DJ sets at the Spirit Pools in the heart of the Dharma Fair, and unique interactive sessions and performances at the Tea Temple Stage.

Yawanawa Tribe singers from Brazil, will transport you to the depths of the Amazon rainforest with their mesmerising rhythms and melodies. While the world’s first ever women’s Qawwali ensemble, Sufi Qawwali, promises “a journey through the poetic sagas of Sufi Saints, exploring themes of divine love and mysticism.”

DJ sets include uptempo melodic techno from Lebanon’s Hoda Fadel, world beats from Bali-Based Brian Hartman, and Afro Tribal House from Amsterdam’s Himmat. Plus there’s ecstatic kirtan from the UK’s Hanuman Project, world medicine music from Bali’s Pao Pamaki & Munay, soul songs from longtime festival presenter Daphne Tse, sound healing and shamanic journeys from Mexico’s Joshua Reyna, and Balinese body percussion from Kobagi Kecak.

Expect Amazing Food, Art and Conversations.

And that’s just a hint of what to expect on the music front. You will also find fantastic healthy food, interesting stalls, art installations, a peace chapel and a whole lot of interesting people to connect with, because this festival is all about unity. It’s also about sustainability, a no-waste attitude and a firm commitment to giving back to the local community through a huge range of initiatives. Since 2010, Bali Spirit Festival has raised more than US $200,000 for children’s programs, health clinics , HIV & AIDS awareness, and environmental protection.
