The Dusun Hotel is a delightful small village-style operation – exactly as the name implies in Indonesian. It is tucked into a sensational spot just a 100 metre stroll to the famous Oberoi Beach – or as it is locally known Petitenget Beach. It is also moments away from one of the island most important Balinese Hindu temples – Pura Petitenget, which translates to mean Magic Box Temple. The Dusun Hotel has quite a few tricks up its sleeve to make a holiday to Bali as magical as the local mysticism.
The Dusun is set among the legendary shopping districts where all of the best shops on Bali have a presence in Seminyak from elite couture designers through to funky arts wares and fun summer holiday gear. Fancy a specially created surfboard? Seminyak has it all including dozens of cool cafés, quiet bars and romantic restaurants. It’s perfectly located for chic dining and entertainment. The villas are minutes from Bali’s top restaurants and a clutch of luxury boutique hotels set on the sunset coast.
The Dusun is an excellent hideaway for those travellers who love privacy while being convenient for surfing and stylish sun downers on the beach. Popular among families, The Dusun is within a whisper of a range of delightful family friendly pursuits.
Architecturally The Dusun’s villas are a charming blend of modern lines and traditional Balinese elements found only on the island. Each villa is its own private compound with individual entrances and private pool and gardens. Some of the traditional Balinese features found in The Dusun include native “Alang Alang” grass roofs and artistic décor. The furnishings speak of a contemporary life style amid the peaceful Balinese accents. Lightening fast wifi runs harmoniously inside the beautiful pavilion-style villas.
The Dusun has 14 private villas, seven one-bedroom villas, seven three-bedroom villas and a reception area. Three bedroom villas are spread across two pavilions on a sprawling 650sq m of land. The main villa has two bedrooms and two bathrooms, lounge area, dining area and a full set kitchen. The pool pavilion has a single bedroom and bathroom found opposite the main building and 12 meter swimming pool. One-bedroom villas consist of a single pavilion on 240sq. The main structure includes a comfortable lounge area, dining area and full set kitchen. The private garden includes a 6 x 4m swimming pool and sundeck area. All bedrooms have air-conditioning, walk-in closets, safety-boxes, en-suite bathrooms and satellite TV with 60 channels. All villas have well appointed kitchens plus stereo systems that spins CD’s, VCD and even has a cassette deck.
The Dusun has a reputation for excellent service with on-demand complimentary drop off service within the area as well as a meet, greet and drive service at the airport. The in-room dining causes cheers of joy while guests graze on a poolside BBQ, as arranged by in-house team. They also pass on the menus of some of Bali’s best restaurants for delivery to your door.
