Sushimi Berawa – Bali’s favourite sushi train rides into Canggu.

The crowd roars, as finally the Canggu crew can get their Sushimi fix closer to home. Sushimi Berawa, a beautifully designed rendition of the Seminyak original, brings all their famous favourites to Jl Pantai Berawa (Canggu’s eat street), including hand-crafted sushi, sparkling fresh sashimi, poke bowls, their popular Sushi Fingers and more. Fast, fabulous and affordable, Sushimi Berawa will also offer the popular 20K promo nights, so everyone can have their sushi on tap. Choose from the sushi train or the a la carte menu, take away or get it delivered to your door. Contact them directly on WhatsApp or order on your favourite delivery app. Expect the doors to open this March.  Instagram: @sushimibali Address: Jalan Pantai Berawa (in front of Nude), Tibubeneng, Kec. Milano Restaurant and Bar – Berawa’s nod to the stylish Italian capital.

Bringing a taste of the stylish Italian capital to Bali, Milano Restaurant and Bar is Berawa’s newest addition, located just opposite Finn’s. With a stylish cocktail bar at the front and specialty craft cocktails designed by one of our favourite mixologists, Daniel Gerves. You may find a few familiar faces on the floor as many of the staff have 5-star backgrounds, including Executive Chef Wirya, formally part of the Alila Group. The menu is as stylish as the bar with a small but enticing list of Italian favourites, from mouth-watering pizza to risottos and a great selection of small plates that are perfectly matched with a stylish wine list. Check out their regular promos and savour a culinary journey to one of the world’s most delicious destinations.   Instagram: @milanocanggu Address: Jalan Pantai Berawa, Tibubeneng, Kec. Locavore’s new menu makes for blissful rainy weekends.

The ever creative team at Locavore have introduced their Rintik Rintik tasting menu to celebrate the wet season. The Indonesian phrase translates to drizzling, and no doubt we’re feeling the wet. As if we needed an excuse to head back to Locavore, the new menu is priced at Rp1,250,000++ and prepare to settle in as there are 16 incredible courses to savour and an option for vegetarians. The courses travel from light starters including crispy leaves, black rice blinis with smoked egg emulsion to scallop ceviche, grilled baby octopus and their signature tomato water, that has to be tasted to be believed. From there the locally-sourced menu steps it up with lamb, mud crab, fish of the day, fried veal brain with potato emulsion, a duck breast dish followed by house-made duck sausage and rolls right into two dessert courses, followed finally by local chocolates and cacao husk tea. Eating at Locavore is an investment, in time as well as the spectrum of flavours. Add a pairing menu from their creative cocktail list, that doesn’t include wine, at Rp595,000++ or order from their wine list. Open on Friday and Saturday only from 6pm. Cloak & Dagger – Speakeasy within a speakeasy, who would have thought?

A speakeasy within a speakeasy, who would have thought? This new addition to Midnight Brigade group which manages 40 Thieves and El Nacional is definitely up to something more elevated for the cocktail connoisseurs. Cloak and Dagger have created a menu inspired by the most infamous serial killers throughout history. Think house-fermentations and home-made shrubs (concentrated flavoured syrups for the uninitiated), which give their house cocktails more layers and complexity beyond the usual flavour profiles. Despite the complex and labour-heavy process in creating the cocktails, Shah Dillon, the head honcho of Cloak & Dagger, keeps the presentation as simple as possible, aligned to their philosophy of more flavours, less bullshit aesthetics. This speakeasy has been created for those with an acquired taste in cocktails. The intimate space of Cloak & Dagger allows only 15-17 people maximum capacity, and with the experienced bartenders dressed as CSI lab examiners, get ready for a twisted, customer-focused drinking experience that requires a little sleuthing to find. No password required to enter, an appointment booked in advance is mandatory. For address and appointments: @cloakanddagger.bali
